Hutchins goes wire-to-wire at Potomac

John Hutchins caught an 11-03 sack under rainy, windy conditions Saturday to complete a wire-to-wire win at the Potomac River Northern EverStart with a 3-day total of 46-12.

“I have 7 years of tournament fishing experience,” he said. “This is definitely the biggest event that I have ever fished. I really had to stay focused out there."

Hutchins, who tied for first in a BFL at the Potomac earlier this year, concentrated on hard cover on the final day, throwing plum apple-colored Yamamoto Senko on a shaky-head. Full details of his winning pattern will be published soon.
