Dean moves to forefront at Fort Gibson

Pre-tournament favorite Tommy Biffle isn't leading the Fort Gibson Bassmaster Central Open, but a guy throwing his bait is. Texan Scott Dean used a Gene Larew Biffle Bug attached to a Biffle HardHead to catch 13-11 today and take over the top slot with a 2-day total of 29-06.

He has a 1-07 lead over 2nd-place Seth Feider, who caught 14-00 today. Day-1 leader Kevin Short fell to 3rd after catching a 10 1/2-pound bag and Biffle made a big move up to 4th with a 14-13 haul.

Five anglers will be within 5 pounds of the lead when action resumes tomorrow. Here's a look at the totals for the 12 anglers who survived today's cut:
