Following are the BassFan World Rankings as updated after the recent Old Hickory Bassmaster Elite Series. Notable movement:
> No. 1-ranked Kevin VanDam finished 32nd at Old Hickory – his worst finish since early April – but continues to dominate the top spot and still appears to be untouchable.
> Skeet Reese continues to fish well, but not well enough to retain his 2nd-place rank. A 28th at Old Hickory was his second consecutive finish in the high-20s, and he slips to 4th in the world.
> Todd Faircloth, who's red-hot, moves up to the 2nd-place spot after a 10th at Old Hickory. Faircloth has made five of nine Top 12 cuts this year, and has won twice in the past 2 years.
> FLW Tour pro Andy Morgan didn't fish last week and retains his 3rd-place rank.
> Terry Scroggins (47th at Old Hickory) and Edwin Evers (82nd) swaps spots. Scroggins is now 7th and Evers 8th.
> Aaron Martens and Steve Kennedy both move up two spots to 9th and 10th, respectively, and break back into the Top 10.
> Reigning Bassmaster Classic champion Alton Jones turns in his second consecutive strong finish at Old Hickory (a tie for 5th) and leaps up 12 spots to 13th.
> FLW Tour pro Clark Wendlandt improves another four spots in this edition to 17th. His 2005 slump has largely been dropped from his Rankings sheet the past few months, which only helps him, and he's buoyed by consistent fishing of late.
> Old Hickory winner Kevin Wirth rockets up 34 spots to 30th.
> Old Hickory runner-up Bill Lowen improves 20 spots to 55th.
