Several Bassmaster Elite Series pros have pledged to donate portions of the top prize to charity if they're one of the four anglers who are voted into Toyota Trucks All-Star Week and go on to win the event. Brent Chapman told BassFan today that he'll give every cent he earns to the Tackle the Storm Foundation, up to and including the $100,000 winner's share.
"If that's what it takes to get votes, then I'm all-in," he said. "I want to get voted into that thing, and I'll go there on my own dime and devote my time to try to help a worthy cause. I care about helping charity, and one of the best ways I can do that is by doing what I do best, and that's fish."
Tackle the Storm is dedicated to providing fishing equipment to children whose homes were ravaged by the tornadoes that swept through the Midwest and South this spring.
Voting for the All-Star Series continues through Sunday at Bassmaster.com. Fans are permitted to vote once each day.
