New Facebook page for Berkley

Berkley recently launched a new Facebook page, designed to offer an improved experience for anglers of all levels who are looking to connect and share their big-fish stories.

“We’re always looking at ways to improve the angling experience, both on the water and off," said Berkley Fishing brand manager Mike Phillips. "Berkley Fishing is dedicated to improving the interaction and growth of our sport, and with Facebook we can reach out in a whole new way to enhance the fishing experience.”

Visitors will be able to interact with key members of the Berkley Fishing staff, including scientists and pro anglers. The site will also act as an access point for the most up-to-date information on Berkley products. Part of that access will include viewing the latest YouTube videos for a sneak peak at the products that haven’t even hit shelves yet.

To celebrate the launch of the page, Berkley is running a species-focused giveaway program that will award 30 tackle boxes to fans over 30 days. Fans should be on the lookout for additional contests and promotions geared toward introducing anglers to new products.

“With this level of interaction, anglers have the unique opportunity to share helpful tips and tactics and even ask questions that could be answered by one of our Berkley pros” said Phillips. “It’s like a tackle shop filled with thousands of your closest friends."
