Having a spot to yourself on the Potomac River for 3 days in a row is virtually unheard of these days. Luckily for Bryan Schmitt, that's how things played out for him during a wire-to-wire victory at last week's Potomac River Northern EverStart, his third EverStart win at the Potomac in 4 years.
A homemade jig turned out to be his key bait as he picked over a small shell bed that he had noticed started to hold fish a few weeks prior to the tournament.
