Bonus Bucks: Time running short

There's just a little over a week left to sign up for the Toyota Bonus Bucks no-entry-fee team tournament, set for Sunday, Oct. 14 at Lake Norman near Charlotte, N.C. The tournament, which will include a series of seminars by Bassmaster Elite Series stars the prior evening, was created in an effort to show appreciation for anglers who have purchased a Toyota truck and registered for the Toyota Trucks Bonus Bucks program.

All registered Bonus Bucks participants are invited, and only one of the team members must be registered in the Bonus Bucks program to be eligible to compete in the tournament. Officials from B.A.S.S. will be on site to help orchestrate the event.

The Top 30 teams are guaranteed a paycheck. The first 100 teams to sign up will receive a gift pack including a custom-made “Tundra Fishing Team” rod from Quantum, as well as a tackle pack and clothing from Carhartt.

Pre-registration by Oct. 6 is required. B.A.S.S. tournament staff will be on site on the afternoon of Oct. 13 for angler check-in, followed by a series of “Tundra tailgate seminars” conducted by Elite Series anglers Kevin VanDam, Terry Scroggins, Mike Iaconelli, Gerald Swindle, Britt Myers, Marty Robinson and Casey Ashley. The first 50 teams to sign up will enjoy a free dinner cruise with the Elite anglers Saturday evening; however, the pros will not be eligible to fish the tournament.

To register for the tournament, visit www.ToyotaFishing.com or call (918) 742-6424.

Signing up for Bonus Bucks is simple. Own or lease a 2008 or newer Toyota Tundra, Sequoia, 4Runner, FJ Cruiser or Tacoma and register at the Web address or phone number above (callers should ask for Kendell). Then be the highest-finishing eligible participant in your FLW- or B.A.S.S.-affiliated tournament, and you win the Bonus Bucks.
