The sponsorships keep rolling in for Forrest Wood Cup champion Scott Martin. In the past few weeks he announced new deals with Bruiser Baits and River2Sea, and today he confirmed for BassFan that he's now associated with Zeko Shoes (ZekoShoes.com).
According to Martin, Zeko manufactures a full line of unique outdoors footwear. He first met the company at the Cup where it had a booth, and the deal covers his tournament career as well as his Scott Martin Challenge TV show.
Martin, who's at Lake Conroe this week for the Toyota Texas Bass Classic, told BassFan: "Zekos are super lightweight, outdoor, all-purpose-type shoes. They were originally made for runners and extreme-sports people, but they're really getting into the fishing world. The coolest thing is the shoes have a drain – vents in the bottom – so if your feet get wet, the shoes will drain and have good ventilation. It's almost like you're wearing sandals because you don't have to wear socks. A lot of people wade in them, and they have non-marking soles, so you're not going to mark up your bay boats."
Martin added that plans are in the works for a signature-series shoe.
