A-Rig issues release

The people who invented the Alabama Rig that took the Guntersville FLW Tour Open by storm issued a press release today. It's reprinted below verbatim.

Muscle Shoals, Ala. – Few lures can say they revolutionize the fishing lure industry, but The Alabama Rig can claim to be one. In the FLW Tour event on Lake Guntersville over this past weekend, professional angler Paul Elias won with a four-day stringer of over 102 pounds using The Alabama Rig exclusively. Many of the other nine anglers making the cut also reportedly were using The Alabama Rig.

Andy and Tammy Poss, owners of The Alabama Rig, are elated with the results of the Lake Guntersville Tournament. “We are ecstatic with the results of the FLW Lake Guntersville tournament and Paul’s success on The Alabama Rig; in addition to all of the other anglers fishing who made the top 10 using our lure,” said Tammy Poss.

The Alabama Rig is a lure that has a head with five separate wires, swivels and lures connected to it. It’s a versatile rig that can be rigged both horizontally or vertically, depending on the situation. Although it has similarities to an umbrella rig, The Alabama Rig was not designed to be trolled, but casted out and reeled in.

“One question that keeps coming up is can I fish with The Alabama Rig in my state; the answer is each angler will have to find out what their federal, state, and local regulations are for that body of water and follow the law,” Poss said.

Not unexpectedly, the demand for The Alabama Rig is astronomical right now. “It’s unbelievable the number of orders we have. We are working day and night to fill orders,” said Poss. Many of these orders are being placed by FLW Tour, Bassmaster Elite Series and PAA professionals preparing for their next tournament.
