B.A.S.S. announced today that marshal registration for the 2012 Bassmaster Elite Series gets under way next week. B.A.S.S. Federation Nation and B.A.S.S. life members can sign up starting Oct. 10 at 9 a.m. EST and other B.A.S.S. members can register beginning Oct. 17 at 9 a.m. EST.
Registration will be taken at www.Bassmaster.com/marshal. The fee is $100 per event.
Marshals ride along in a competitor’s boat to serve as that angler’s official observer for the day. It’s the marshal’s job to ensure that all rules are adhered to. On the eve of the event, marshals are randomly assigned to Elite Series anglers — to one pro for the first day, then to another for the second day of competition.
