Here's the radar update on what David Dudley's been doing this week: He's been fishing Smith Mt. Lake in his home state of Virginia. He wasn't out roasting under the sun for fun. The lake fishes a lot like Ouachita, he said, so he's trying to gauge the state of the bite in anticipation for next week's Forrest Wood Cup.
In particular, he's trying to judge the viability of a bedding-bream bite.
Is it there? Well yes, and no, he said. What does that mean? Dudley didn't want to expand, but it's clear that he's doing his homework for this one. Stay tuned.
