The matchups for the head-to-head portion of the Toyota Trucks All-Star Series were set today as the 2-day seeding tournament wrapped up at Lake Jordan in Alabama. Casey Ashley led the way with a 25-08 total and, as the top seed, will take on Skeet Reese in the quarterfinals on Friday.
Other quarterfinal pairings at the Alabama River will pit No. 2 Ott DeFoe against No. 7 Mike Iaconelli, No. 3 Aaron Martens against No. 6 Edwin Evers and No. 4 Terry Scroggins against No. 5 Gerald Swindle. The semifinals will take place on Saturday, followed by the final on Sunday. The champion of the winner-take-all event will pocket $100,000.
Four-time Bassmaster Elite Series Angler of the Year (AOY) Kevin VanDam was first out of the cut for the bracketed competition. Others eliminated were Jeff Kriet, Steve Kennedy and Davy Hite.
