Terry Scroggins caught a 12-15 sack from Lake Jordan today to top the 12-angler field on day 1 of the Toyota Trucks All-Star Series semi-final event in Wetumpka, Ala. The field will be back on the water on Sunday to determine the eight competitors who'll move on to next weekend's head-to-head portion of the series at the Alabama River.
“I’m feeling good about this,” Scroggins said. “I don’t think I have enough to make the (Top 8) cut right now without catching anything tomorrow, but I think with 6 or 7 pounds, I should be in pretty easy.”
Aaron Martens, just off a 31-hour trek after winning the WON Bass U.S. Open at Nevada's Lake Mead, was 2nd with 12-10. The bubble at 8th place was shared by Skeet Reese and Mike Iaconelli, each with 8-00.
