David Walker for a long time fished as a two-tour pro. Several years ago he moved to the FLW Tour exclusively, but he's back to the Elite Series this year and about to fish his first tour-level B.A.S.S. event since 2005.
Walker fished for an FLW team the past half-decade, which of course limited his ability to land independent sponsor deals. But with the change to B.A.S.S., he's been able to add two lure companies to his portfolio. The first addition, Z-Man, was announced a few weeks ago. Today, he officially joined Koppers to promote its LiveTarget hardbait brand.
Walker hails from Sevierville, Tenn., right in the heart of America's "crankbait cradle" and company president Grant Kopper specifically cited Walker's cranking experience as an asset to the company.
Walker joins Stephen Browning on the Koppers factory staff.
