Californian Robert Faaborg, a veteran photojournalist and a 2010 Forrest Wood Cup qualifier as a co-angler, has launched a website (BackDeckPro.com) that focuses solely on the co-angler's perspective of tournament fishing.

The site is anchored by “At The Tanks," a column dedicated to event coverage ranging from pre-tournament preparation to post-tournament analysis. Other topics will be fishing destinations, a tips and techniques column directed toward co-anglers, an angler profile feature and a health and fitness column provided by Ken Hoover of Athletes Outdoors.

“I have photographed numerous sporting events ranging from high school football to Olympic events.” said Faaborg, who spent 15 years in the newspaper business. “Not too much can get me excited, but bringing a big bass to the stage ranks right up there with shooting Steve Garvey’s walk-off homer in the 1984 World Series.”
