BassFan Paul Nuzuzm is on a quest through history, but so far he's hit nothing but brick walls.
He's in possession of a coin from Okiebug, the company founded by B.A.S.S. legend Don Butler, who passed away in 2004. The front side of the coin says "For You The Bass Fisherman." But the flip side of the coin shows a strange set of letters and symbols. Nuzuzm's quest is to discover the meaning on the back side of the coin.
BassFan showed the images to Ray Scott, who noted: "Don Butler was my best friend, the first member of B.A.S.S. (a life member at $100), and he won the second Bassmaster Classic. Don told me the specific meaning of the other side of the coin, but asked me never to tell the meaning to anyone. I hope you understand."
For those who know Ray, a statement like that is usually code for: "I once knew what it meant, but can't remember now."
Another brick wall and the mystery continues.
