BASS today announced details of its 2010 Junior Bassmaster World Championship (JBWC). Commonly referred to as the "Jr. Classic," the JBWC used to be held in conjunction with the Bassmaster Classic. BASS, however, changed the event's scheduling to instead coincide with the Federation Nation National Championship.
The Federation Nation Championship is slated for the Red River (Oct. 27–29) in Shreveport-Bossier City, La., while the JBWC will take place at nearby Cross Lake on Oct. 29.
As usual, the JWC will feature two age divisions – 11-14 and 15-18. Youth competitors in each division will compete for a top prize of $5,000 in scholarship money, plus state-based sponsorship contingency prizes.
