There are quite a few rumblings about the next event to be sanctioned by the Professional Anglers Association (PAA), and today, sources indicated more news has emerged. All of this is unconfirmed, but it appears there'll be a press conference in Georgia tomorrow to announce the next PAA-sanctioned event. It's believed the event will take place at Lanier the first week of November (of this year).
The first-ever PAA-sanctioned event was the 2007 Toyota Texas Bass Classic. There's no hint as to potential sponsors or partners for the next event, but the news that Georgia will play host seems to make sense. Earlier this year, governor Sonny Perdue announced in his state of the state speech a desire to spend $19 million on the new Go Fish Georgia campaign.
