Clausen's hunt for a home

Reigning Bassmaster Classic champion Luke Clausen still doesn't have a permanent residence, but he's looking real hard at homes in the Nashville, Tenn. area.

"I like the town, and it's centrally located to a lot of the places I need to go," he said. "I'd like to have some kind of base and not be a true transient anymore."

He sold his house in his native Washington last year and has spent most of 2006 staying in motels or at houses belonging to friends. In Nashville, he's staying with fellow tour pro Andy Morgan.

He's found some intriguing prospects, but has yet to make an offer on a place.

"I was looking at one place on Old Hickory, but it wasn't much of a house for the money I'd have to pay. I'd like to have a little bit of land so I'd have a place to build a shop to store my stuff in."

There was one big advantage to all the nights he spent in motels. "I did appreciate the maid service."
