Skeeter Boats today announced the location of its 8th Annual Northern Skeeter Owner's Tournament. The event will take place a month from now (Oct. 7–8) at Patoka Reservoir near Jasper, Ind. Patoka's an 8,800-acre lake that was also the site of the 2005 BASS Federation Northern Divisional.
Skeeter senior VP and GM Jeff Stone said: "We have an extremely strong dealer and customer base in the northern states, and the Skeeter brand name is becoming a top choice among anglers seeking a bass-boat company that fulfills their needs on the water, but supports them off the water as well."
Stone added: "As we are dedicated to the production of high-quality and versatile boats, the word continues to spread. Anglers want to be more than just owners. The Skeeter Owner's Tournament Series is just the vehicle to welcome our owners into the Skeeter family. This event proves how hard our company will work to keep a relationship with our customer."
The Northern Owner's Tournament will feature prizes and Skeeter merchandise for all participants, along with drinks and snacks at registration. Skeeter's interactive trailer will be on-hand with games and entertainment for kids and adults. Plus, Skeeter's professional demo team will provide demo rides in Skeeter's ZX Series and i-Class Series bass boats.
As always, Skeeter owners will compete for numerous prizes and cash awards in categories that include: youth, adult, male, female and big-bass. Cash payouts will be awarded for 1st through 10th place. In addition, Skeeter will hold a random drawing at the conclusion of the tournament and the winner will receive a 2006 Skeeter SX190 powered by a Yamaha V150.
