WON Bass to host Martens celebration

In an effort to the life of Aaron Martens, WON Bass tournament director Bill Egan has organized the Hogsnatcher Benefit Event on Saturday (Dec. 18) at Lake Casitas in Martens' native Southern California. The event, to be held at the Lake Casitas Recreation Area (11311 Santa Ana Road in Ventura,) will get under way at 2 p.m.

Free parking will be available across the street from the event area. All are welcome to join in on the fun and festivities. There will be live music featuring the Samantha Cary band. Food will be available for purchase. Bring your lawn chair, blanket and beverage packed cooler and spend the day with the family and friends of Aaron Martens.

For those who cannot attend the event,, donations of any size or denomination are welcome through the GoFundMe page.
The #hogsnatcherbenefit fundraiser GoFundMe will be active until March 11. A portion of the donations will be used for expenses at the event and 100 percent of the funds remaining will go to the Martens family. To date, $13,000 of the $15,000 in expenses have been covered by sponsors and friends, meaning the vast majority of the funds raised through the GoFundMe campaign will go directly to the Martens family. The campaign has raised over $14,000 of the $20,000 goal thus far.

There will be opportunities to acquire items that have been donated by sponsors to help raise additional funds. A $100 donation includes one opportunity to win prizes, and an additional donation of $100 will earn five additional opportunities to win swag. To see all available offerings, visit the Hogsnatcher page on Facebook.

A large portion of the items will be given away on-site at Saturday's event, but the Hogsnatcher group page on Facebook has albuns listed with additional items and guide-trip opportunities to bid on, as well as the single largest "jersey drive" ever conducted. Over 150 national touring pros are sending autographed jerseys that will be auctioned off. The jersey drive will have its own website at HogSnatcherBenefit.com soon.
