FLW adds SIRIUS

FLW Outdoors announced that Sirius Satellite Radio has signed a multi-year agreement to become the official satellite radio provider for the organization.

SIRIUS offers more than 125 channels of satellite radio featuring digital-quality music, sports, news and entertainment programming. Sirius can be accessed by truck, boat, RV or online.

SIRIUS will sponsor all 12 of the FLW Outdoors tournament trails this year. It will also field a team of professional anglers who will compete on the FLW Tour, FLW Kingfish Tour and FLW Redfish Series in sponsor-wrapped boats.

"We are honored that a company as forward-thinking as Sirius has selected both the growing sport of fishing and FLW Outdoors to contribute to its marketing success," said FLW Outdoors chairman and CEO Irwin Jacobs. "In a short period of time, I think you'll see many of the pros on tour with Sirius in their boats."

Jim Meyer, president of operations and sales for Sirius, said: "Sirius is pleased to be working with FLW Outdoors. Our sponsorship allows us to tap into the boating segment of satellite radio users, which has tremendous potential. Satellite radio goes everywhere you go – it gives you the freedom to listen to whatever you want. I believe anglers will find it to be useful as well as enjoyable."
