Fork PAA event a go?

The Canton Herald newspaper of Texas has reported that the Professional Anglers Association (PAA) event at Lake Fork, Texas is a go. BassFan reported in a previous Dock Talk item that the PAA event was in the works, but it appears things have turned the corner.

According to the article, the event is expected to raise $250,000. Texas Parks and Wildlife Dept. (TPWD) inland fisheries manager Phil Durocher was quoted as saying the event will benefit TPWD conservation programs. The article also quoted PAA director Gene Ellison, who said Toyota was a major sponsor of the event, and that the format would observe the slot limit.
