FLW releases '15 Rayovac schedule

FLW today announced the 2015 Rayovac FLW Series schedule, which will again consist of three events each in five different divisions – Central, Northern, Southeastern, Texas and Western – along with the no-entry-fee series championship to be held on the Ohio River in Paducah, Ky., next October.

The top 30 pros and co-anglers in the final point standings in each division after three qualifying tournaments will advance to the 2015 Rayovac FLW Series Championship provided they fished all three qualifiers in a division.

“The Ohio River at Paducah is a tremendous fishery,” said FLW Series tournament director Ron Lappin. “It is not uncommon for it to take well over 20 pounds to win a single-day tournament there. Anglers who have not fished the river in a few years will be pleasantly surprised with how well it fishes.”

In addition, the highest finishing pro from each of the five Rayovac FLW Series divisions based on final results at the 2015 Rayovac FLW Series Championship qualify for the Forrest Wood Cup along with the top five overall finishers for a total of 10 Rayovac FLW Series pros advancing to the 2016 Forrest Wood Cup.

Entry fees will remain the same – $1,500 per qualifier for pros and $500 per qualifier for co-anglers. The payout structure also is unchanged for qualifying events and the series championship for 2015.

Complete rules and entry dates will be announced soon.
