U.S. Open gets under way Monday

A pro field of 165 anglers – the largest in several years – will compete in the 32nd WON Bass U.S. Open at Nevada's Lake Mead. The event runs Monday through Wednesday.

The roster includes Bass Fishing Hall of Famer Mike Folkestad, the only three-time winner of the event, along with two-time champions John Murray and Clifford Pirch. Other ex-champions who'll compete are Gary Dobyns, Rich Tauber and 2013 winner Rusty Brown.

Luke Clausen, who's won both the Bassmaster Classic and Forrest Wood Cup, and former Classic champion Jay Yelas head the list of additional tour-level pros in the field. That list also includes Cody Meyer, Scott Canterbury, Jim Moynagh, Randy Blaukat and Josh Bertrand.

Live webcasts will begin with a pregame show from the Boulder Station Casino at 5:30 p.m. Sunday. Daily event coverage will begin following takeoff with hourly updates at 8, 9, 10 and 11 a.m. each day, followed by weigh-in coverage beginning at 2 p.m. and a postgame show at 6.

Webcasts can be accessed at www.WonBass.com.
