The inaugural Platinum Team Trail event is still 4 months away, but 81 of the 100 available slots have already been filled by duos planning to fish all four derbies on the new high-dollar Texas circuit.
The circuit, which charges a $1,000 entry fee and will pay $30,000 to the winning team at each event, kicks off Dec. 7-8 at Sam Rayburn Reservoir. Three more tournaments are slated for 2014 – Lake Ray Roberts (June 21-22), Lake Amistad (Aug. 9-10) and Lake Texoma (Sept. 20-21).
Registration is limited to teams wishing to partake in all four events through Aug. 31. Single-tournament registration will begin Sept. 1 if there are slots remaining.
The list of registered teams includes Jeff Kriet/Jason Reyes, Todd Castledine/Russell Cecil, Mark Pack/Chris Mahfouz, Phil Marks/Tim Reneau, Chris McCall/Tommy Dickerson, Stephen Johnston/Dickey Newberry and Clark Reehm/T.J. Riley, among a host of other regional standouts.
