John Murray – Practice
Wednesday, August 8, 2007

After fishing up north, this is a rude awakening. I've had a pretty horrible practice. The first day I had a couple of nice ones – maybe a limit – but the last 2 days I've caught two a day, and they were just keepers.

The thing you run into there is we're only going to have an hour or so of tide. Whether they'll bite or not, you'd better catch them then, because the rest of the day's going to be very tough.

Morning's when I pretty much think I can catch some. I'm hoping I can maybe get two or three, then maybe scrape up a couple more the rest of the day. It just hasn't been very good for me. I haven't hit a lot of the areas I fished last year, but the tide hasn't been right for them.

A Top 50 here for me would be awesome. I just need to catch a few bass the rest of the year to make the Classic, so I'm going for consistent limits, and to get out of here with some money would be awesome.
