The IMX lineup has been a staple for years in G. Loomis' bass rod arsenal. With advances in materials and components, G. Loomis has added an IMX-PRO series for 2018.

The rods, which are en route to dealers (if not already there), are targeted at serious tournament anglers looking for technique-specific actions with a conventional appearance.

Blank tapers have been refined. Componentry is designed to achieve maximum comfort with subtly tapered rear grips to give anglers a split-grip feel with full grip comfort. Guides are tangle-free Fuji K-frames. Across the board, these rods are a step above the E6X series – IMX-PRO are as much as 18 percent lighter than like models in the E6X series – as well as previous IMX models.
