Put a traditional fishing lure in front of Patrick Sebile and chances are he’ll rethink it and come up with a new twist that adds to its effectiveness on the water.

Take the classic hollow-body frog, for example. BassFans are quite familiar with the standard topwater frog design. It features a double hook and a floating body that can be fished in and around thick cover and vegetation.

Sebile’s fresh take on the frog – the Pivot Frog – adds a swing hook element that optimizes snag-free fishing and increases hook-up ratios, something every frog fisherman yearns for. The standout feature of the Pivot Frog is the Gravity Hook System, which uses a weighted single 6/0 wide gap black nickel hook that pivots freely. The position of the hook also keels the frog and makes it more controllable during the retrieve and allows for long casts.

The versatile design allows for the Pivot Frog to be fished like other hollow-body frogs – in the slop, lily pads, around wood or across open water. The 2 1/2-inch frog weighs a half-ounce and is available in eight color patterns. Click here to learn more about the Pivot Frog.
