There’s nothing an angler dislikes more than losing a fish, but finding rusty hooks in their tackle boxes is a close second.

Flambeau Outdoors’ anti-corrosive Zerust products have helped anglers combat the issue of rusty tackle. Zerust, which is extruded into the internal dividers, releases a harmless vapor that adheres to enclosed metals, protecting them from moisture and rust for 3 years.

At ICAST this year, Flambeau introduced new storage options – the Waterproof Satchel, HD Tuff Boxes and HD Cases – all with Zerust incorporated into them. Whether it’s tackle, tools, gadgets or electronics (marine or otherwise), Flambeau’s Zerust products can keep them safe and dry.

Waterproof Satchel

The new Waterproof Satchel is a heavy-duty hard plastic tackle box built with Zerust dividers and a transparent, O‐ring sealed lid with a recessed work area. Two glide trays rotate out for easy access to a customizable base storage area. All four sizes boast thick‐wall construction.

Looking for more storage? There will be two models with either 3000‐ or 4000‐series waterproof Ultimate Tuff Tainers stowed below the base. The Tuff Tainers can slide in and out easily and lock into place once pushed in to securely transport everything to the shore or the boat. Those looking for a more minimal Waterproof Satchel can choose between two smaller sizes with glide trays and base storage.

HD Tuff Box

Also built with Zerust, the new HD Tuff Boxes provides heavy‐duty, waterproof protection for tools, valuables, personal electronics and anything else that needs to be stowed away in a safe place. The Zerust component provides additional protection against moisture and corrosion, making the HD Tuff Box suitable for long-term storage of metal tools and sensitive gadgets in any conditions.

The HD Tuff Box is constructed from shatterproof polycarbonate with a clear, O‐ring sealed lid that keeps water out while allowing you to see in. The internal rubberized bumper system reduces shock and muffles sound while a pressure release valve makes this box safe for air travel. The HD Tuff Boxes will be available in five sizes and retail for $9 to $17.
