A little baffled with how to set up your fantasy team for this week's Guntersville FLW Tour Open? So is everyone else. That's because the field is truly "open" and a giant host of unknown names graces the field list.

Nearly a quarter of the field could be considered jackpotters, so picking a fantasy team's a little like hunting for a 1-inch piece of fluorocarbon in a livewell.

BassFan's not yet ready to publish its picks for the event – that comes later with the Scouting Report and Watch List – but below, in preparation, are a few interesting facts about the field.

> Field Size -- There are currently 146 boats set to fish the event – four short of the published max.

> Jackpotters -- Twenty of those 146 pros have never fished an FLW Tour event before. A further 12 are fishing their first or second FLW Tour event. When added together, 22% of the field could be considered as jackpotting.

> The Minors -- The FLW Tour Opens, although factored into the BassFan World Rankings, are still considered somewhere between the major and minor leagues. Evidence for that measure? Forty-five percent of this week's field has fished fewer than 10 FLW Tour events.

> The B.A.S.S. Guys -- That previous stat is a little skewed, because Bassmaster Elite Series pros Jason Williamson, Chris Lane, Bobby Lane, Greg Hackney, Terry Scroggins, Pat Golden, Russ Lane, J Todd Tucker, Gerald Swindle, Randy Howell, Matt Herren, Keith Combs, Paul Elias, Steve Kennedy, Aaron Martens, Andy Montgomery, Takahiro Omori, Fred Roumbanis, Charlie Hartley and Derek Remitz are fishing.

> First-Timers -- Who are the 20 pros who've never fished an FLW Tour event before? Here's the list. Any BassFans with intel on these guys can submit info here.

> The Veterans -- Who within the field has fished the most FLW Tour events? That'd be Andy Morgan at 108, closely followed by Dion Hibdon (107), David Dudley (106), Larry Nixon (102) and Darrel Robertson (100).

> The Champions -- Here's an interesting stat. David Fritts lays claim to most FLW Tour wins within the field with five. He's followed by Scott Martin with four, then Brent Ehrler and a few others with three. Fritts, Martin and Ehrler have each won a Forrest Wood Cup (FLW Tour Championship).

> Past Winners -- Among the pros, 38 of them have won an FLW Tour event previously. That's 26%.

> To The Front -- Spencer Shuffield, the 2011 FLW Tour Co-Angler of the Year, is fishing this event as a pro. It's his first, and could mark the start of a long, successful career.

> The Leaders -- The points matter in the Tour Opens, because the Top 5 receive a berth in next year's Lanier Forrest Wood Cup. Additionally, the Top 50 in the points receive priority entry for next year's FLW Tour. Below is a look at the current Top 10 in the points.
1. Glenn Browne -- Ocala, FL -- 568
2. Shinichi Fukae -- Palestine, TX -- 543
3. Pete Thliveros -- Saint Augustine, FL -- 537
4. David Dudley -- Lynchburg, VA -- 529
5. Dave Lefebre -- Erie, PA -- 516
6. Thanh Le -- Lake Havasu City, AZ -- 504
7. Jason Cordiale -- Orinda, CA -- 499
8. Fred Roumbanis -- Bixby, OK -- 494
9. Scott Suggs -- Bryant, AR -- 493
10. JT Kenney -- Palm Bay, FL -- 483

> Double Dipper -- See Fred Roumbanis in the above list? He's fishing the 2012 Bassmaster Classic, so if he scoots into the Top 5 after Guntersville, he'll fish both major championships next year.
