Reigning FLW Tour Rookie of the Year Clent Davis has signed on as a member of Halo Fishing’s pro staff. Coming off a strong 2012 season in which he cashed four checks in six events and finished 12th at the Forrest Wood Cup, the Alabama native is excited about the switch to Halo rods and reels.
"I've been keeping an eye on Halo Fishing for a while,” Davis said. “Their rods are incredible for any price, but in that $150 price range, nothing touches the Halo rods. The first thing I noticed about the rods is that they have excellent balance, are lightweight and are very sensitive. What surprised me most were the reels. These reels are light, cast great and have flawless drag systems. I can't wait for the season to get started so I can put these rods and reels to work."
He joins fellow FLW Tour pros Randall Tharp, J.T. Kenney, Koby Krieger and Brandon McMillan on the Florida-based company’s pro staff.
"Adding Clent Davis to our pro staff was an easy choice for us,” said Halo Fishing co-owner Alex Pappas. “He's not only an excellent angler, he's a great speaker and knows his stuff when it comes to equipment. We know he'll represent our product well and he will be an instrumental part of our future designs. Clent's career got off to a great start in 2012 and we know his best years are still ahead of him.
