Brian Metry was just a bit better than Jason Christie again today. Metry backed up his day-1 weight of 23-05 with a 22-00 bag today to retain the lead at the Bassmaster Detroit River Northern Open with a 2-day total of 45-05.
Christie, the FLW Tour pro who’s chasing a win that would clinch him a spot in next year’s Bassmaster Classic at Grand Lake (his home lake), brought in 21-07 today and is nearly a pound back of Metry with 44-07.
Brian Ward, who was tied for 5th after day 1, occupies 3rd now with 43-15.
