Johnson Outdoors, parent company of Humminbird, announced in a press release today that it's reached a settlement in its suit against Navico involving Humminbird's patented Side Imaging technology. In the suit, filed in early 2010, Johnson claimed that Lowrance (a Navico subisidiary) infringed on the Side Imaging patent with its StructureScan technology.
The press release stated that the companies have mutually agreed to keep the terms of the settlement confidential.
