Allan Glasgow came from behind to win the 2011 Toyota Tundra Bassmaster Weekend Series National Championship, operated by American Bass Anglers, held Nov. 9-12 at Santee Cooper.
Glasgow moved steadily up the ladder throughout the contest. On Day 1, he caught 13.90 pounds to hold 27th place. On Day 2, he brought in 20.70 pounds, the biggest bag of the day, to move into 3rd with 34.60 pounds. On Day 3 he landed 21.15 pounds, the largest single-day bag of the tournament, to advance to 2nd place. His 9.35-pound final-day tally was enough to secure victory.
As the boater champion, Glasgow took home $100,000 in prize money, as well as a berth in the upcoming 2012 Bassmaster Classic at the Red River in Shreveport, La.
