Dave Lefebre has been invited to the upcoming Toyota Texas Bass Classic. He confirmed the news for BassFan today and noted that he was invited based on the 2011 FLW Tour points. The TTBC invites the Top 15 in the points. He finished 19th but several anglers ahead of him declined their invites.
Lefebre is a past TTBC champion (2009) and finished 5th at the event last year.
He's fishing next week's Guntersville FLW Tour Open and will thus miss the first day of TTBC practice. If he doesn't make the cut at Guntersville, he'll still work Sunday for title sponsor Kellogg's in the Outdoor Expo.
"Heck yeah I'm excited – I'm fired up," he said. "I won there and finished 5th last year and didn't do the same thing twice. I fished opposite patterns so I think I have a grasp on the fishery as a whole."
