Cabela's adds brass

Cabela's announced today the addition of Scott K. Williams to its executive team. Williams will join Cabela's as executive VP and chief marketing and e-commerce officer, reporting to CEO Tommy Millner.

Williams previously served as president of Fanatics, Inc. – a vertically integrated online retailer of team- and league-licensed sports apparel and collectibles, which he joined in 2010. Before joining Fanatics, Williams was a corporate vice president at Wal-Mart from 2006 to 2010. While at Wal-Mart, Williams served as GM of Samsclub.com and had full responsibility for this business unit, including profitability, merchandising, margins and call center, distribution and returns operations.

Before joining Wal-Mart, Williams spent 10 years with OfficeMax Incorporated.

Millner noted: "In June, we announced plans to hire a new executive VP and chief marketing and e-commerce officer. Today I'm pleased to welcome Scott to our executive team. Having previously run the Samsclub.com business unit of Wal-Mart and OfficeMax's direct-business segment, Scott brings a great deal of e-commerce experience to Cabela's. I look forward to his valuable contributions to our marketing and e-commerce operations and am excited about leveraging his e-commerce expertise."
