Elite Series veteran Tommy Biffle caught a 15-09 sack today and extended his lead at the Arkansas River Bassmaster Central Open out of Muskogee, Okla. to nearly 10 pounds.
“The fish bit good all day long for me,” said Biffle. “I caught a lot of fish and lost one 4-pounder that I’d like to have back. My amateur caught two or three nice ones too, so they’re definitely there.”
Biffle's bag was the second-best of the day. Former Elite Series angler Mark Tyler boxed 17-02 after weighing just 3-11 on day 1, but the big rally left him in 14th place – two spots shy of the cut.
