Mark Menendez wants BassFans to know about a cool charity event that he's hosting tomorrow (Saturday) – the 4th annual Menendez Ronald McDonald House Fishing Event.
"This idea came from my wife Donna," Menendez said. "She wanted to give back to the Ronald McDonald House after our stay with our son Max. He's a healthy and happy 5-year-old. We were sent to Kosair Children's Hospital in Louisville, Ky. immediately after Max was born. Our son was going to be fine."
The event has grown from a few friends to this year's gala for which Menendez anticipates up to 70 children. Invited families are asked to donate to the Ronald McDonald House and each child receives a tackle pack and fishing hat from Strike King. They'll also receive a free McDonald's burger.
"Our hope is to help other families in their time of need," Donna noted. "We'll never forget our time at the Ronald McDonald House. We're truly grateful for a resource such as this."
