Ever wonder how many people actually use those fishing apps for the iPhone, iPad and Droid phones? BassFan was curious, so we asked Sammy Lee, who heads up Connected LLC, which developed the FishMate, FirstMate, HuntMate and new Bill Dance apps.
To use the free Bill Dance app as an example, Lee said that after the app launched in early July, it surpassed 100,000 pageviews in its first 34 days on the market and is now approaching 1 million minutes of owner use. Wow.
Clearly, Bill Dance still draws a crowd, but just as clearly, anglers are becoming increasingly mobile and wired.
