He's America's best-known and most-loved TV fisherman, recognized the world over as an enduring icon of all that makes fishing great. But never say that Bill Dance is out of touch with modern times, because he announced today that he's gone viral and produced his own free iPhone and iPad apps. These apps are full of the same fishing tips that have made him successful over his four decades of pro bass tournament fishing and filming the legendary TV show Bill Dance Outdoors.
In announcing the new apps, Dance noted how much he loves to share fishing knowledge and education. "My TV series affords me this opportunity to a degree, but there never seems to be time for me to pass on to my viewers everything I'd really like to share," he said. "The volume of questions and requests I get in the mail or email substantiates this fact. In view of this I've spent the greater portion of the past year putting together this new Bill Dance app, and I hope that anglers worldwide enjoy learning from my experiences on the water as much as I've enjoyed bringing this information to them."
Dance added that the apps are geared toward angler education and will be updated constantly with new tips and links. The info will cover multiple species including bass, crappie, bluegill, catfish and trout. One example: He just finished and uploaded a 3D graphic video that explains the nuances of catching suspended fish.
Again, the iPhone and iPad apps are free. They were designed and developed by Connected LLC, maker of the FishMate, FirstMate and HuntMate apps.
