Dudley new AOY leader

David Dudley (pictured) took over the lead in the FLW Tour Angler of the Year (AOY) race with his 7th-place finish in the recent event at the Red River. The 2008 points champion moved up two places to supplant previous leader Stacey King, who dropped to 2nd.

The Top 30 in the points after the six-event season (there are two to go) receive automatic berths in the 2011 Forrest Wood Cup.

Californians Mike Reynolds and Brent Ehrler, also Top-10 finishers at the Red, moved into the Top 5 in the standings at Nos. 3 and 4, respectively. Other climbers were the the sizzling Jason Christie (16th to 5th), Red runner-up Mark Rose (22nd to 8th), Darrel Robertson (27th to 13th), Scott Martin (24th to 14th), Kevin Hawk (37th to 17th), Koby Kreiger (36th to 19th), Jay Yelas (44th to 29th), Clint Brownlee (64th to 30th) and Red winner John Cox (86th to 46th).

Notable drops included Stetson Blaylock (7th to 23rd), Todd Auten (6th to 25th), Shinichi Fukae (17th to 28th), Luke Clausen (20th to 31st), Joe Thomas (19th to 37th), Dan Morehead (26th to 39th) and Sean Hoernke (28th to 47th).
