The West Point Elite Series was a tough one for a lot of stalwart pros, including Tommy Biffle, who finished dead-last. But Alton Jones (pictured) continued his blistering pace with a 6th-place finish – his fourth Top 10 over five events this year – and extended his lead in the Toyota Trucks B.A.S.S. Angler of the Year (AOY) race to 107 points. AOY is a title that's always eluded Jones, and three more events remain.
At the top of the points, there was no change in the Top 3 positions – Jones still leads, Terry Scroggins is still 2nd and Kevin VanDam is still 3rd. But there were plenty of shakeups throughout the points. Here's a brief summary. Note that the Top 28 in the season-ending points receive an automatic Bassmaster Classic berth.
