Veteran Arizona pro John Murray had one of his toughest years ever on the water in 2010, logging just two money finishes on the Bassmaster Elite Series and finishing 84th in the points. Perhaps some new duds will help him turn things around in 2011.
He's signed a deal with Topwater Clothing, the edgy fishing apparel company, also based in Arizona, that's made some traction in the industry over the past year. He'll be sporting Topwater shorts, shirts and jackets.
Company owner Brad Altman noted that in addition to the angling prowess Murray has demonstrated over the years, both in his home region and nationally, his reputation as a first-class sportsman was an important consideration in bringing him on board.
