FLW Outdoors announced Thursday that Strike King Lure Company has signed on as a sponsor and will serve as the title sponsor of the Angler of the Year award in the EverStart Series. The points leader at season's end from each of the five divisions – Central, Northern, Southeast, Texas and Western –will receive $5,000. In addition, the Co-Angler of the Year from each division will receive $2,000.
“We truly value our endemic sponsors; they’re essential to the lifeblood of the sport,” said FLW Outdoors Marketing Division president Trisha Blake. “We’re particularly proud to be associated with a premier company like Strike King. This new agreement will bring them added exposure and give EverStart anglers an additional incentive.”
Added Strike King marketing manager Chris Brown: "Strike King Lure Company is excited and proud to be the newest sponsor of FLW Outdoors. Our association with FLW Outdoors will compliment Strike King's well-known and trusted brand, as well as generate significant exposure for our extensive product line to all levels of tournament anglers."
As with the Zebco agreement announced earlier this week, the deal does not include exclusivity in any sponsorship categories.
