TTBC: Back to Conroe

The Toyota Texas Bass Classic will return to Lake Conroe and the Lone Star Convention & Expo Center this fall. Dates for the 3-day tournament and outdoor music festival are Oct. 28-30.

Event proceeds benefit the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department and its outdoor recreation programs.

“We are proud to bring the TTBC back to Conroe and continue to raise awareness for the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department,” said TTBC founder Dan Friedkin. “This event has become the premier bass fishing tournament for anglers across the world while having a positive impact on this community and the state of Texas.”

The tournament features a 50-angler field, assembled from the PAA Tournament Series, Bassmaster Elite Series and FLW Tour. Professional anglers must be members of the PAA to compete. Missouri Elite Series pro Brian Snowden was the 2010 winner.

The TPWD has received $1 million in donations from the event over the past 4 years and the 2011 donation will be a minimum of $250,000.

“The focus of these programs is to expose kids and non-traditional users to the sport of fishing and the conservation efforts upon which all good fishing depends,” said Texas Bass Classic Foundation president JC Fassino.

The concert lineup will be announced by summer. For more information, click here to visit the TTBC website or call (866) 907-0143.
