Conroe sack tops 45

Conroe sack tops 45

BassFan Ron Gunter passed along info on a lake-record limit caught recently in a Sunday morning tournament at Texas' Lake Conroe out of Stow-A-Way Marina. The 45.10-pound sack brought in by Rusty Lawson and Dusty Schultz contained two fish that topped 10 pounds each and three others that averaged more than 8 pounds apiece.

The behemoths were caught off brushpiles in more than 20 feet of water and bit Paydirt jigs.

Bassmaster Elite Series angler Dean Rojas holds the all-time B.A.S.S. record for a one-day catch with a 45-02 bag from Florida's Lake Toho in 2001.
