FLW Outdoors and Rapala announced today an extension of Rapala's sponsorship of the league. Through the sponsorship, Rapala will continue to promote not only its legendary hardbaits, but its extensive lineup of tools, knives and fishing accessories as well.
Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
FLW Outdoors operations-division president Kathy Fennel noted: "Rapala's reputation as an industry leader has been honed over several decades, and their performance proves that. So many of our pros rely on their products for their success, and to have Rapala support our anglers as well as our fans speaks volumes of their commitment to the sport."
Rapala U.S.A. president Tom Mackin added: "The popularity of tournament angling has grown substantially. FLW Outdoors has pioneered the way for tournament anglers and we're thrilled to be a part of the action by extending our sponsorship with the organization, and to lend our support to the anglers."
Several FLW Tour pros are sponsored heavily by Rapala including Terry Bolton, David Fritts, Dave Lefebre, Tom Mann Jr., Larry Nixon and walleye pro Chris Gilman.
