A tournament to benefit prominent western pro Dave Rush, who's battling cancer, will take place Saturday at Lake Oroville in Northern California. The event will launch from the spillway ramp at safe light.
The entry fee is $20 per person, and boats with three anglers are permitted. The limit will be three fish per boat. Weigh-in is at 1 p.m. and will be followed by a barbecue and raffle.
Rush has been a prominent competitor on western circuits for many years. His most significant recent victory came at the 2009 Oroville Western Stren (now AFS).
