Texan Keith Combs, coming off a red-hot second half of 2010, has announced that he'll fish the Bassmaster Elite Series and the four FLW Tour Opens next year, along with the PAA Tournament Series.
"It's been a long, hard decision," he said. "I fished the FLW Tour for 3 years and I really like it – the people were great to me. But I just want to try the Elite Series. The only way I'm going to find out what it's like is if I do it."
He gained his Elite Series invitation (and a 2011 Bassmaster Classic berth) by topping the Central Opens points list. He also won the PAA event at Lake Tawakoni in September, took 4th in the Toyota Texas Bass Classic and had three finishes of 13th or better in five Tour events.
Power Line Services, an electrical company based in west Texas, will serve as his primary sponsor. Continuing sponsor Power Tackle will also be represented on his boat wrap.
